The Helgstrand family:
Andreas Helgstrands dad, Ulf Helgstrand, was the person who startede the horsefever in the family. He began with only one horse and a goat. Now is he known i whole Denmark because of his breeding of Danish Warmblod.
I an age of 6 years, Andreas and his big brother Frederik began to riding. Frederik stopped fast, but Andreas keept riding. After some crashes became Andreas affraid of riding, but he still wanted to go to the farm, and to be near the horses. When i went i fifth or sixth grade he was shure, he wanted to ride.
When Andreas was about 8-9 years old, he startede riding on a horse called Ringo. Ringos owner, Anja Pedersen, was 7 years older then Andreas, and she had a white Connemara pony. Together with her pony Ringo, she was the one who learned Andreas to ride.
When he was 16 he had an apprenticeship on Finstrupgaard with Søren Vallentin as a teacher. He wanted to be a rider when he was grown up.
When Andreas was little he loved his house. He always wanted to be at his house. It means a lot to him that his family is near him. So when he´s waiting to get on the track, his family stands to support him.
